Haggar is a Dallas-based menswear brand sold in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Joseph Marion Haggar founded the Haggar Company in Dallas, Texas in 1926. He personally purchased all materials, supervised production, and handled all sales from a one-room office in the Santa Fe Building. By 1929, Haggar occupied two floors of the building with 250 employees and over the next few years grew to 500 employees, with the production of 75,000 pairs of pants annually.

"Worst job ever. The manager was extremely rude. They didn’t appreciate anything that was done for them. They also didn’t understand when things came up, like family emergencies or being sick and in the hospital. I would never recommend working at this place because of the horrible management."

Co-workers believe in teamwork. Everyone is patient with new hires. The hardest part of the job would be dealing with the inconsistency of the company; hours of operation, work schedules, the inability to expand knowledge and the fluctuating pay rate. They often work you the maximum number of hours in a day (4hours, 30 minutes) without ever giving you any kind of a break. You get no kind of a raise or anything, the company is very cheap. The company needs to treat it's employees a lot better, but they probably won't. The most enjoyable part of the day at Haggar is clocking out."

Senior management not effective and too distant from what the employees actually do. Unrealistic expectations and not enough support. Too much emphasis on making the company saleable, versus long term positioning of brand. Hard working people consistently eliminated for short term profit goal shortfalls due to unrealistic plans made by senior management. Zero development of staff and very limited advancement opportunities. Makes it very difficult to keep motivation and positive moral of team. Both in Management dislikes their jobs and talks about disliking the company but stays has no other resources for income. No hours maybe 6-8 week."

You work with a partner and the pay is production wise starting from 10.25 to 15.50 depending on the length of time you have been there and by how fast you work. The hardest part of my job is when you work with a partner that doesn't want to move fast and there is times when something breaks and they don't fix your production. Most of the effective leadership team and co-workers were let go. Not sure about the future of the brand with what is going on in retail today. It was a great place to work at one point, not anymore. An typical day is being on your feet for 12 hours a day handling customers orders either picking the items from the bins and sending them on the belt up to be package. You learn what the company has to offer and the different products that is being sold."
